MedApps has the ability to provide both an active and a passive PERS feature as part of the MedApps System.

 

Active: If a patient is being monitored by a nurse professional and they push the alert button on the HealthPAL, then an alert is sent to the nurse caregivers, via screen, email, SMS text message or IVR phone call. (Pre configured)

 

Passive: If a patient misses their readings for a specific period of time, then the HealthCOM system will initiate a telephone call to the patient to remind them to take their readings.   If they don't respond by the time their next reading is due, then a caregiver is notified (screen, email, SMS text message or IVR phone call) that readings have not been taken, and that the patient failed to respond to a followup call.
