As an innovator in the field of remote health monitoring, MedApps will expand itsproduct line to encompass all segments of the population who contribute to healthcare expenditures - not just the "biggest spenders" in the healthcare system.

 

Like healthcare industry at large, remote patient monitoring has generally focused on people who are already chronically ill, and the most sick of the sick.  It has been demonstrated that proactive patient care can help stabilize conditions, improve outcomes and lower costs.

MedApps intends to carry the idea further and empower people to take charge of their health before they become ill and enter the healthcare system.

 

MedApps developed its HealthPAL and HealthHUB mobile health monitoring products to immediately address the needs of those who are the most ill and account for the largest share of healthcare resources.

 

Medapps will target the broader population that is not as sick, and usually more mobile and out of the hospital. We will address this segment through the development of smart phone applications and accessories, which will allow select smart phones the ability to integrate with common retail medical and health monitors including scales, pedometers, blood pressure monitors and more.

 

As with Medapps' existing product line, these new offerings will provide the ability to transmit data from these devices directly to an electronic health record.

 

Medapps plans to rollout its new applications and accessories by end of Q3 2010, pending FDA clearance.
