MedApps' Regulatory Status
On July 7, 2007, MedApps received FDA clearance for its remote patient monitoring system for diabetes.
(FDA Clearance K062377)
Since that time, a next generation system has been created that greatly simplies the system for patients by packaging two seperate technologies into one device. Subsequently, MedApps has created two different patient interfaces for the device. Both are under a formal Institutional Review Board (IRB) evaluation and are FOR INVESTIGATIONAL USE ONLY at this time.
MedApps' web-based application for receiving, analyzing and storing patient data was referred to as "the MedApps Engine" in the above referenced FDA clearance. Now branded as "HealthCOM" it is also under an Institutional Review Board (IRB) evaluation and is FOR INVESTIGATIONAL USE ONLY at this time.
