Implanted Devices

MedApps' HealthPAL / HealthCOM solutions are designed to be able to incorporate different configurations to meet the requirements of Implanted Devices, including Loop Recorders, Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) and Insulin Pumps.

HealthPAL's open architecture could allow the ability to configure different versions, with unique transceivers including the MICS frequency and near-field in order to talk to implanted and "body area network" devices. Listening to wireless signals coming out of the body can provide the ability to intervene (based on pre-set thresholds established by healthcare professionals) – even before a patient shows any symptoms.

Many insulin pump and CGM systems have local alarms to alert exceeded thresholds for a given patient (e.g. going into diabetic coma). A MedApps HealthPAL could provide the capability for the CGM and insulin pump manufacturers to alert caregivers, outside of the immediate alarm area, of events that may require intervention.
