MedApps will market Personal Series products, such as HealthPAL, HealthPOD, HealthLINK, VoicePAL and MedPAL to consumer retail outlets and third-party suppliers as well as on the Internet. The value to consumers is that it automatically sends their personal health data to a central repository (e.g., Microsoft HealthVault, Google Health) so that it can be reviewed and/or analyzed at a later stage. This ability to seamlessly send and analyze personal health data is targeted towards individuals with a chronic disease and medication compliance issues.
For the Personal Series, an important component of the Company’s business strategy is its alignment with retail scale and blood pressure manufacturers. These relationships will give the Company direct access to consumer and retail distribution channels for the Personal Series. Additionally, these relationships will allow the medical device manufacturers to complement their existing product lines with the MedApps glucose, medication and health monitoring products, creating co-branding opportunities and increasing revenue generation.
The MedApps solution will help the consumer with a cost effective, off the shelf, solution to send their data to a central repository.
In addition, the MedApps product line will help bring functions within the consumer retail stores (Clinics, Pharmacies, DME Isle, Supply Isle, Mail Order and PHR integration) together into one unified system in order to meet the individual consumer needs.
