Kent E. Dicks - Chief Executive Officer / Chairman / Founder 

Mr. Dicks, the Company’s founder, Chairman and CEO, has over 24 years experience in the technology industry.  He has been in the forefront of developing new technologies for remote patient monitoring systems and the introduction of TeleHealth 2.0, which utilizes wireless technology for the transmission of medical data from the patient to the healthcare provider and data depository.

Mr. Dicks has worked in the information technology industry with a number of Fortune 100 companies, including Texas Instruments and American Express.  He is the founder and owner of Aztech Professional Services, Inc., a top-secret staffing and human resources firm.  For five years (2001-2005), Aztech was ranked as a top staffing firm in Arizona, in recognition of which, Mr. Dicks received the Entrepreneurial Success Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration.  He graduated from the business college with a B.S. degree in computer information systems.

Eric Vandewater - Chief Technical Officer

Eric Vandewater has well over 25 years of international experience in the design, research and development of products for the high-tech and internet industry, including over 12 years in management and executive positions. He has hired, trained and managed development teams for various technology companies and has a solid background in delivering highly valuable intellectual property. His hands-on management style and unique ability to function effectively and productively on any level from executive visionary to software developer is perfectly suited for a startup company with a great product and even better potential.

For the last 7 years, Vandewater has served as the CTO for several startup companies, ranging from high-tech input devices to digital content protection. He has been instrumental in taking business models from conceptual ideas to highly effective, successful and profitable products. Thanks to his vision and expertise, startup companies with little or no high-tech expertise, no engineering resources and no intellectual property, were converted into major players in the industry. Often, Mr. Vandewater personally invented and developed all the core technology that formed the basis for unique and highly innovative product lines. Vandewater has traveled extensively in the US, Europe and Asia to build relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturers. He has also worked closely with key partners like Microsoft and Apple to develop productive partnerships and develop essential standards. He has served as the technical representative at many board meetings, annual shareholder meetings and quarterly earnings calls.

Bruce Bowers - Vice President of Manufacturing / Operations

Bruce Bowers is a veteran in worldwide product development and sales in the electronics industry and brings 30+ years of contributions in corporate growth to the MedApps team.

Mr. Bowers started his career at Motorola – Mesa, Arizona in product development and package engineering. Mr. Bowers provided technical support for Motorola’s electronic component manufacturing sites in Malaysia and Korea. Mr. Bowers also contributed to corporate growth at Burr Brown Corporation – Tucson, Arizona as Operations Manager for high performance analog products. Mr. Bowers served as Director of Sales at Amkor Technologies – Chandler, Arizona where he led a team supporting the world wide Motorola account. Before joining MedApps, Mr. Bowers served at FlipChip International – Phoenix, Arizona as Vice President of Operations during acquisition, then, Vice President of Business Development where new business centers were established. Mr. Bowers holds a degree in Electronic Technology from UEI, Louisville, Kentucky.

Roberta (Bobbi) Druyor-Sanchez - Director of Quality / Regulatory and Integration

Formerly with GE Healthcare and Ventana Systems, Bobbi was instrumental in developing Ventana’s 2nd generation cancer diagnostic instrument system (NexES), developed 8 chemical products in under two years leading to Ventana’s IPO success, and as part of GE Healthcare, developed multiple chamber and assay products including a 16-assay multi-chamber microarray semi-automated system.  Also at GE Healthcare, she supported the quality management system to receive ISO 13485 distinction for their Arizona site.

Prior to joining Medapps, Bobbi was Director of System Integration Engineering at Kemeta(TM) developing a palm-size breath analyzer for monitoring the body's metabolism focusing on weight management.  Bobbi holds multiple US patents in immunohistochemistry and microarray technology with several patents pending.  Bobbi Sanchez received a BSE and MS in Bioengineering from Arizona State University.

David Sanderson - Director of Business Development

David Sanderson has over 25 years of management experience with Global 1000 companies in consumer products, technology and consulting. He has built global businesses at major corporations, working and living in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has managed sales and marketing programs for a variety of companies in the consumer product and technology industries. His background with major global companies and start up experience in the enterprise software/consulting field has enabled him to develop significant expertise in growing companies revenues and positioning in the marketplace. 

He developed the ‘next solution’ for the extended enterprise, called Global Relationship Management (GRM) which offers solutions for the complex operating international environment that companies face in managing their daily business globally including marketing, business intelligence and collaboration modules. He worked with GPI as a Principal with worldwide clients such as ST Microelectronics, Nike, Schneider Electronics,Depuy Spine (J&J)etc Previously, he was Vice President of Marketing at Axeda Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ), and President of the Dexter Company's International Division.(Berkshire-Hathaway Division) He also served as Vice President, International Rockport Company, a Division of Reebok International.

David speaks Spanish, German and French and serves on the board of Assist (an international educational non profit.) He was also a lecturer in international management and marketing at Boston University and is a frequent presenter at various industry conferences including SAMA on topics such as Six Sigma for Sales and Managing Indirect Sales Channels.

Walter Balfour - Manager of Product Design

Walter received a B.S.D. from the Arizona State University College of Industrial Design where he was selected to take part in the prestigious Innovation Space program sponsored by Intel.  Walter is currently the Manager of Product Design & Engineering at MedApps, Inc.,  a Scottsdale Arizona based corporation that has developed a line of Mobile Wireless Health Monitoring Systems for remote patient care and disease management.

 Walter collaborates with engineers and external partners to execute effective design solutions that will appeal to customers and enhance brand value while making a significant contribution to the Marketing of the MedApps product line. Walter has a wide range of user-centered design and engineering experience including medical devices, personal electronics, furniture, toys and house wares. Additionally, Walter has over 10 years of corporate management, sales and marketing experience.

Randolph (Randy) Strength - Manager of Creative Design

Randy Strength has over 16 years professional experience in creative design and marketing. He has been the principal prorpietor of his own graphic design and creative firms including Powerhaus Designwerks and Creative Strength. His creative services include art direction, illustration, photography, photo editing and copywriting for projects such as corporate identity packages, annual reports, brochures, package and label design, print advertising and website design.

Randy combines his talent as an artist / illustrator with his expertise in computer-driven graphic design. He has produced award-winning creative services for local and national businesses, nonprofit organizations and Fortune 500 companies. His client list includes: American Express, Turner Broadcasting System, Target, Arizona Community Foundation, Dorrance Scholarship Foundation, Arizona Grantmakers Forum, Delta Diversified Enterprises, Williams Industrial Sercies Group, House of Blues, Swift Motorcycle Company, James Elliot / Bez Ambar Jewelers of Beveryly Hills and Phoenix College. Randy has degrees and certificates in visual communications, fine arts and computer graphic design. He also has previously served as a member of the Graphics Advisory Board for Phoenix College.
