HealthCOM - How It Works

HealthCOM is a robust on-line patient management tool designed with the guidance of health care professionals. It handles all of the data that is collected and transmitted from patients who are using a HealthPAL. 

The data is transmitted to the MedApps central server where HealthCOM makes any and all data readily available to health care professionals for viewing, monitoring and analysis.  The software takes in readings, and compares them to pre-established individual thresholds and determines if a reading should be flagged as red, yellow or green, in order to alert a healthcare provider.

Data collected in HealthCOM can also be sent to electronic Personal Health Records (PHR) such as Microsoft HealthVault for patients to access their individual readings.
